What educational leader isn’t concerned about the increasing challenges of keeping students safe, confident, happy, healthy and academically successful? SpeakUp! is a unique and effective educational program that brings together Youth, Educators and Parents/Guardians to explore and discuss the issues that affect our lives and our communities today such as stress, drugs and alcohol, bullying, depression, suicide, self- image and other relevant topics of today.

Through intensive interaction, SpeakUp! promotes informed decision making, positive life choices, enhanced communication skills and the appreciation of differences. This program provides the tools and creates the opportunity for meaningful dialogue and understanding, which then become a catalyst for change.

SpeakUp!’s primary goal when hosting an event is to create a secure environment for all of its participants. We feel that within the safety of a non-judgmental atmosphere the youth are more willing to open up about the issues facing their lives. These are the essential elements we bring to every Speak Up! event:

1. Consistent SpeakUp! team.
2. Network of professional presenters.
3. Reputable resources.
4. Communication tools.

All you need to have is:
1. Youth committee to participate in five leadership and planning meetings with the SpeakUp! Team.
2. Space to host the event (large auditorium and classrooms for breakouts)
3. Willingness to help us with parent engagement.
